To install an SSL certificate in Plesk, log in to Plesk and open Websites & Domains for the domain you want to secure. Then open SSL/TLS Certificates. From there, you can add or upload your certificate files if you already have an SSL certificate from another provider. If you want to use a free SSL certificate, open Let’s Encrypt under the same domain and issue the certificate from there.
After the certificate has been added, go back to Websites & Domains and open Hosting Settings. In the Security section, select the certificate for the domain and save the changes. This assigns the SSL certificate to the website so it can work over HTTPS.
Good to Know: Installing the certificate does not always force the website to open securely. If the site still opens on HTTP or shows Not Secure, you may also need to enable a redirect to HTTPS.
