How do I use Let’s Encrypt in Plesk?

By Windy Hosting • April 4, 2026

To use Let’s Encrypt in Plesk, your server must have the SSL It! and the Let’s Encrypt extensions installed first. Once are available, you are ready to issue and manage Let’s Encrypt SSL certificates for your domains.

To install a Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate, go to Domains, select the domain you want to secure, and open Hosting & DNS > Hosting Settings. Make sure SSL/TLS support is enabled. Then go back to the domain page and click SSL/TLS Certificates.

At the bottom of that page, click Install under More options > Install a free basic certificate provided by Let’s Encrypt. Enter the Email address, choose the certificate options you want, and then click Get it free. Plesk will generate the certificate and assign it to the domain automatically.

Good to Know: Let’s Encrypt certificates are valid for 90 days. In Plesk, they are normally renewed automatically through the SSL It! extension.
